Splatoon 3 NSP ROM XCI is a third-person multiplayer shooter where teams race to paint the battlefield in their team’s colors. You and your teammates will use a variety of weapons to paint the battlefield and eliminate your opponents in the endless Splatoon War: chaotic, exciting, and, above all, incredibly fun!
Splatoon 3 is not a trilogy finale or a radical reinterpretation of the series. This game doesn’t aim to change the stereotypical image we all know of Nintendo’s fun and popular multiplayer shooter. Once again, you play as a brave and fun-loving young squid hybrid whose mission is to cover the entire map in your national team’s colors. So, in a concrete graveyard, I’ll shoot my enemies with an ink-filled gun, unleash my own special attack, and dive into the ink-stained mud to avoid counterattacks. Yes, Splatoon 3 is just Splatoon, and I don’t think anyone cares.
At a recent event, I had the chance to explore a small portion of the single-player campaignโone of the series’ often-overlooked strengthsโfor about an hour. As usual, I used my ink to solve some fantastic mechanical puzzles, such as sliding down a muddy path and walking a tightrope. In an era where multiplayer shooters are neglecting single-player modes, it’s refreshing to see Splatoon clinging to this genre, which has been waning. I also played a few rounds of Salmon Run, a mode every Splatoon 2 fan should be familiar with.
