Released last February for PlayStation and PC, Sifu Switch NSP ROM quickly gained popularity thanks to its fast-paced gameplay and unique mechanics inspired by classic games. Nine months later, the fighting game Sloclap returns to Nintendo Switch with an enhanced version that retains the charm of the original. The game begins with players entering a rain-soaked temple, where they battle disciples and team up with friends to explore further. Upon reaching the highest level, players play as Yang and kill the temple princess in front of her. A young man hiding in a closet witnesses this scene and is killed by one of Yang’s followers.
However, the young man’s charm makes him special. This young man, later known as “Hero,” becomes the game’s protagonist and embarks on a twenty-year-old journey of revenge. Sifu gives players the task of completing five stages, defeating all bosses, and ultimately finding Yang. The game’s main character is a symbol that resurrected the Hero as a child, granting him the ability to rise from the dead. However, this technique comes at a cost: With each death, your age increases by one, and your death rate rises. So the game starts at age 20. Each death increases your death count to 21. And if you die again, your death count doubles to 23.
Switch games are playable on PC using emulators like Yuzu or Ryujinx.
