I started with a fire attack, and you can perform a series of devastating attacks by pressing the trigger and the corresponding button simultaneously. The early levels contain obstacles that can only be overcome with later upgrades. The classic Metroidvania-style gameplay is the main reason for replaying the battles and is highly appreciated by fans of the genre. Joe gains superhuman movement abilities when his rage gauge is full. Pressing any button activates a ninjutsu technique.
