Pokémon Shining Pearl

Pokémon Shining Pearl Switch NSP ROM, is an adventure role-playing game where players explore the vast Nether and compete in the Pokémon League. Determining how many changes are necessary when remaking a game is always difficult, and this is especially true for the beloved Pokémon series. Too many changes can be frustrating. The Switch remakes of Pokémon Red and Blue, Let’s Go, Pikachu!, and Let’s Go, Eevee! are proof of this; while fun, they felt a bit simplified. On the other hand, if you know how to incorporate elements that have shaped the game’s mechanics over the years, you can create some of the best games in the series, like HeartGold and SoulSilver for the DS. Pokémon Diamond and Shining Pearl fall somewhere in between: they offer a great opportunity to complete Sinnoh Pokémon that weren’t present in the original Sword and Shield games, but ultimately, they are adventures you won’t want to replay once you’ve finished them.

Except for the fourth generation, the first, second, and third generations benefited from impressive redesigns. However, the Game Freak remake by ILCA, the studio behind Pokémon Diamond and Shining Pearl, instead of being a true tribute to this generation, opted for a less polished art style, neglecting many elements of Pokémon Platinum, arguably the best game of the generation. Pokémon Diamond and Shining Pearl features a 3D “chibi” art style for the open world, giving all the characters a dull, Funko Pop!-like look – a major flaw. The battles have never been so beautiful – the arenas and environments for Pokémon battles are fantastic – but the open world looks desolate in comparison.
