Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Switch (NSP ROM XCI) Mario Kart 8 is a racing game where players take on characters from the Mario universe and compete in kart races. Players must collect various items to overtake their opponents or gain an advantage during the race. Mario Kart 8 allows driving on walls and ceilings in zero gravity, enabling players to collide with each other. The game offers single-player and multiplayer modes, as well as online play via the Nintendo Network.

The game maintains the classic gameplay of the Mario Kart series: Mario characters race in karts, trying to overtake their rivals or improve their performance using various items found in item boxes. Additionally, the game offers four different difficulty levels that can be selected before each race, providing a suitable challenge for every player. Familiar features from previous games include motorcycles and 12-player races from Mario Kart Wii, as well as paragliding, underwater racing, and vehicle customization from Mario Kart 7.

This battle mode is unique: piranhas constantly attack the front of one team’s vehicles, and the opposing team must avoid them at all costs. If a member of the rebel team falls into the clutches of the piranhas, they are imprisoned in dungeons scattered across the map. Other players on the team can then try to activate the button located below the dungeon to free the prisoner.
