The original Nintendo Switch hasn’t disappeared while we await news of the Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo showcased it at its stunning Nintendo Direct presentation in June, and the show began with a delightful surprise: a new Mario & Luigi role-playing game. Following Paper Jam, released for the 3DS in 2015, Mario & Luigi: Brotherhood is the first game in the popular turn-based role-playing series about two brothers to be released in over a decade. More importantly, it’s the first game released since the abrupt closure of AlphaDream in 2019.

However, according to Nintendo, some of the original developers of previous games are still working on Brotherhood. In any case, I had the opportunity to play the game for approximately 90 minutes during the presentation, and it looks like it would be a perfect addition to the original Nintendo Switch. The game boasts some of the most stunning graphics I’ve seen on home consoles, along with a highly immersive gameplay experience.
